Get more control over your vehicle's security system

Many cars today feature an immobilizer security system that won't allow the car to start without first sensing the presence of a chip imbedded in the key or key fob. Directed's DB3 module tells your vehicle through its databus that it's okay for an aftermarket remote start or security system to start the engine or unlock the doors without that chip.

The Directed DB3 module works in even more vehicles than the original DB-ALL module or its successor the DBALL2, and is compatible with all Viper, Directed, and Python security systems, as well as most other brands.

Simplifies your security wiring

A single data-to-data harness connects your Viper (or other Directed) system to the DB3, so you don't have to hard wire your security system to a lot of door locks, solenoid releases, and other sensors — you'll save a huge amount of installation time. The DB3 module usually connects to your vehicle through 2 to 6 hardwired data connections.

Even simpler installation for remote start-ready vehicles

Many vehicles are remote-start-ready. If you own one of these, you probably won't even need a separate remote start system — just use a Directed DB3 and a T-Harness (if available). To activate the remote start, you'll need to press "Lock" three times on your factory remote. For extended range, add a Viper SmartStart module to control your vehicle remotely by smartphone.
