I’m David Russo, CEO of Dana Safety Supply. Dana Safety Supply has well over 1000 years of combined experience serving law enforcement, military, emergency services, and public safety professionals across the country.
As the nation’s largest and most experienced provider of high-tech public safety equipment and vehicle upfitting services, Dana Safety Supply is a major partner with the most advanced and trusted equipment manufacturers in the industry. We provide professional installations, and dependable service at scale.
We outfit more than 24,000 public safety vehicles each year and support customers of every size, from small departments to large regional and national fleets including municipal, county, state and federal agencies. Our buying power, operational efficiency, and advanced national logistics allow us to deliver consistent results without compromising quality. Our “hub and spoke” system of production allows us to route production to the nearest location with available capacity, ensuring finished vehicles are delivered on-time, when they are needed most.
Today, Dana Safety Supply operates 54 locations across 17 states and employs more than 700 dedicated professionals. Each location is strategically positioned to support our customers with inventory, technical expertise, and installation capabilities when and where they are needed. In addition to supporting law enforcement and military agencies, we also provide commercial vehicle upfitting services, including amber and amber clear lighting, backup alarms, truck bodies, and related fleet solutions.
With more than $60 million in on-hand inventory, we are able to respond quickly and cost-effectively to the needs of public safety, emergency response, and commercial fleet customers.
Dana Safety Supply maintains drop-ship programs with Chrysler, Ford, and General Motors, allowing vehicles to ship directly from the manufacturer to one of our installation facilities for efficient upfitting and delivery. This approach saves time, reduces handling, and keeps fleets moving.
